Iconic Duos

At Town's End we think there is no better way to spend the day than taking part in all your favorite activities. We also love sharing the evenings with our friends, teammates and few of our most quintessential beverages. Read on to see what we've paired!

The quintessential beverage of Wimbledon and the perfect summer cocktail. The first Pimm’s bar opened at the 1971 Wimbledon tournament, and today over 80,000 pints of Pimm’s and lemonade are sold to spectators each year. Here’s our recipe so you can enjoy this refreshing beverage court side – any where.

2 oz fresh lemon juice
1/2 to 1 oz simple syrup (equal parts water and sugar boiled just until sugar dissolves; cool)
1.5  oz of Pimm's No. 1
1.6  club soda

Garnishes: Cucumber spear or slices, mint, lemon, orange and strawberries

Nearly as iconic the man himself, a John Daly is the perfect beverage to help keep you going through the back nine. This drink was first made popular during Daly's 2005 run at the Dirty Gator Open but has proven to be a timeless classic. Some of our friends to the south add in bourbon and mint for a little extra!

1/4 oz vodka
1/4 oz triple se
Fill with 1/2 lemonade
Fill with 1/2 iced tea

Garnishes: lemon and tea leaves

A twist on the traditional Dark'n'Stormy but with a little better forecast. May every day on the water be as bright, crisp and refreshing as this cocktail. Plus, this easy to make beverage keeps things simple for those below deck.

50mL gin
Fill with Ginger beer

Garnishes: lime or cucumber

Now, we aren’t encouraging drinking while using firearms. But we do have to say there is something about coming home from a long day of pheasant hunting to a warm Apple Pie. Each fall, the Town’s End team mixes up a batch to enjoy after all of our country pursuits.

1 gallon apple juice
1 gallon apple cidar
2 cups white sugar
2 cups brown sugar
4 cinnamon sticks
1 pinch apple pie spice
750mL bottle of 190 proof grain alcohol
750mL bottle of vodka

Combine apple juice, apple cider, white sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon sticks in a large pot; bring to almost a boil. Cover pot with a lid, reduce heat, and simmer for about 1 hour. Remove pot from heat and cool completely.

Stir grain alcohol and vodka into syrup and remove cinnamon sticks. Pour apple pie moonshine into clean glass jars or bottles. Store in the refrigerator.

Brought to you by our favorite apres ski cocktail destination, the St. Regis in Aspen, Colorado. Their house inflused dill and local basil vodka poured over ice and topped with their house Bloody Mary Mix and garnished with bacon. You'll have to actually go there to truly experience this iconic duo.

We also love Clicquot in the snow! Which brings to our next and perhaps most iconic duo....

Name a more iconic duo. Maybe it's because we love to sip it while we watch the horse races, or maybe because we love to spray it after a tough polo match, or maybe even fill our cups with after winning a cup - Champagne and horses just seem to fit!
